Surf the Internet Anonymously for Free

Aug 28

With cyber crime increasing at an alarming rate, more and more online users are turning to proxies to mitigate the risks of getting hacked or having their data compromised.

By surfing the web anonymously, internet users can protect their data and their identity. It is an easy solution that is available to anyone with an internet connection, and the best part is that many of these proxies are actually free. The only thing you have to do to find one is search a few keywords into Google, and voila – you’re well on your way to internet surfing privacy and security.

Proxies basically work as a buffer between a user’s computer and the internet. When you log onto the proxy, you send your requests through data for it and then it send this data on to your requested website. This means that any website you visit can only see your proxy’s details – keeping your identity and information completely hidden.

One thing to keep in mind, however, is that not all proxies out there are safe. You should do some research and be very cautious when choosing a proxy, as some of these may in fact be hacker sites and pose a threat to your security.

Like thousands of workers and students out there, you may find that your office or school has blocked certain websites (such as Facebook and MySpace). They do this through what is called a “content filter”, and some people simply accept the fact that these sites are blocked and don’t realize that there is an easy solution. A web-based proxy site can bypass these content filters and get you to any website you want to visit.

Whether you want to bypass a content filter or merely protect yourself from online hackers, free anonymous proxies offer a good solution. There are lots of them out there, and if take some time and do some research, you will be well on your way to private and secure web surfing.
