Information About Free Web Proxies

Oct 3

There are plenty of free web proxies available that are based in either Europe or North America, which you can use to access blocked sites. These proxy servers are almost always web-based, and offer to protect the anonymity of their users. Proxies based on an office or school network may not support HTTP protocol, and therefore cannot offer users access to websites such as Facebook, MySpace, and more. Either that or they may have settings which restrict visitors from reaching those sites. With free web-based proxies (especially those that support SSL), you can visit any site you want and increase your browsing speed.

Some people complain about the amount of advertisements that come with free web-based proxies. While it is true that these proxies generally contain ads, they are usually just pop-ups which the user can click off. Fortunately, these ads are usually fairly innocent and don’t contain adult images or anything inappropriate.

When you visit one of these proxy websites, simply type the URL you want to connect with in the box provided. The web proxy will then take you to the website of your choice, regardless of the blocks imposed on your network.

One thing to keep in mind is that many of these proxies have size limitations of around 0.24 megabytes. This means that large files such as videos and pictures won’t be displayed properly when you download them via a proxy.
